The 2026 Wake County School Bond addresses urgent classroom needs, funds critical facilities, and supports stronger communities across the county.

What It Funds

A Practical Investment in Documented Needs

Three new schools focused on Wake County's growth areas:

Renovations and Refreshes

Start or complete renovations at nine schools, including renovations to existing buildings and on-site replacement of existing facilities.

  • Playgrounds
  • Parking Lots

Support Facilities

  • New bus garage on Rock Quarry Road
  • Repairs to the purchasing and maintenance warehouse
  • ADA accommodation requests, as needed
  • Replacement of Career Technology Education, arts, and athletic equipment

Preparing for the Future

Major initiatives include:

  • $64.8 million for technology infrastructure and device upgrades districtwide
  • $27.4 million available for future property acquisition
  • $17.4 million for continued upgrades and improvements to security systems districtwide
  • $6.5 million to remove outdated or unused mobile classrooms and trailers from school sites
